Not really any overt sexiness in this one...ha. Because EoS thought she could give me leading prompts, did she? I'll show her.
Ah well. And it ends where it ends because, well, I had to save face somehow.
(And I'm nearing a breakthrough on chapter 3 of The Fic That Would Not Die Cooperate, I can feel it! >:d)
Also? I fail at trying to write that noise Gojyo makes. If you've seen the anime or listened to any of the drama cds, you know what I'm talking about. Yes, that noise. LOL

WhooOOoOoO! Wow, I really like posting, even when I have nothing to say or show!!! Um. Well, here is another doodle i sketched with minimal effort a while back just because i thought the idea wuz funny. ^^ And NO, it doesnt ::crooks fingers:: "mean" anything, lolz.
Title: Headlock Artist: Xpyne Rating: um, PG13? swearing in word bubbles Warnings: an f bomb makes it not worksafe. Characters: Sanzo and Gojyo Medium: sketched in 8H pencil, gone over in black pen. Notes: If the anatomy or pose looks strange, it's because I fail I was too lazy to use refs of any kind. :( I had this idea in my head that it would be really funny if Gojyo got one up on Sanzo and headlocked him. Then, after doodling it, Soli posted a drabble where Gojyo does exactly that and I was like, "Gasp! We really do share 1/2 a brain!!" and went ahead and penned it. ahahahaha Time Taken: like, 15 or 20 minutes. Not a serious attempt. Just for kicks.

I received numerous prompts from eyesofshinigami, but have only been able to come up with one so far that I liked enough to post because I fail at life have been really cracking down on myself lately about sticking to my full-length projects.
(Oh, and EoS, I thought I could beg off the "Kanpai!" one, seeing as I didn't think I'd be able to top myself the first time around.)
I've actually got something started on all the other prompts at the moment, but I'm still fine tuning. D:
prompts: 1. Full circle (use it as you see fit) 2. Trembling with desire 3. Kanpai! 4. Over and under
::laughs:: Wow. I wasn't really expecting Goku to do that, but then he did... I really shouldn't give the boys free rein. Though Hakkai is, by far, the worst about that. He kindly goes along with all my machinations, then BAM! Gojyo and I never know what's hit us. TAT

Well, I think we've made enough friends here that I won't get rotten tomatoes thrown at me for posting technical p*dophilia. I wrote this quite a while back and posted it on ff.net under a different name. ::shifty eyes:: Some some of you guys may have already seen it, but I figured eh, what the hey? I might as well post it here, too.
Title: Match Made in Heaven Authoress: Xpyne, with a little help from Solitaire ((cuz i can't write Tenpou T_T)), and Soli beta'd for me, too, of course ♥ Disclaimer: Saiyuki and all its spinoffs belong to Kazuya Minekura. No monetary profit is gained from this work. Rating: NC17, XxX Warnings: highly consensual shouta, i.e. underage love, yaoi, man-god x boy-youkai, not worksafe. Pairing: Konzen x Goku Setting: Gaiden, no spoilers cuz I don't know any, just seen the anime episodes of their time in Heaven Word Count: 6,680 ((too long for one lj post, soes it's in 2)) Notes: This is just a fun sex story, with plot in that the plot is hooking K & 9 up, lolz. It's seriously written in that I'm not intending to squick anyone, and I think Konzen was in love with Goku even back in the day, but I don't believe in or condone RL pedophilia in any way, shape, or form. This was a scrapped doodleberry, but I found myself coming back to it and staring, mostly because of his face, so I decided to actually put a little time and effort into it and make it something presentable. :) It was based on the idea that I wanted to draw a Goku that looked hot and yet was fully clothed in his cannon outfit. I mean, Minekura makes a cape, bear-claw shoulder guards, funky belts, baggy top(s), waist high cut-off capris jeans and poufy shoes not only plausible, but look good on the boy! lol. This is my attempt to do the same instead of drawing him naked, for a change, haha. I also had the idea that i wanted flexibility and crazy angles, but that part didnt pan out as much. :o
Title: Leap Artist: Xpyne Rating: G I'm shocked, too! Where is the debauchery? Warnings: none, i believe this is quite worksafe. Character: Son Goku Medium: sketched in 8H pencil, gone over in HB pencil. Cleaned up A LOT is photoshop, cuz, as a nearly abandonned doodle, I left a lot of 8H scuzzily all over the paper. Bad artist, bad! Notes: I sketched this from scratch, with no refs Saiyuki or anatomical ((hence the reason I nearly abandonned it for its lack of pre-plotting)) so if his body is out of proportion, his belt going the wrong way or something... but i should seriously know his costume from the inside-out after making/wearing it for cosplay ::shifty eyes:: But I really liked his expression; it compelled me to finish this. Time Taken: oh, about 4 or 5 hours? when i get into it, i lose all track of time.

| Subject: | Anime Expo Report! |
| Security: | Public |
It's time for Xpyne's long awaited Anime Expo 2007 Con Report!!! <--whut? Haha, well! Even if you haven't been waiting on the edge of your computer seat for this, i'm pretty excited to share it with y'all. :D Making last minute cosplay stuff created a high energy, stressful all-night prelude to the first day of the con (that we attended) which was Saturday. The con itself was held at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California. The venue was on the small side, which unfortunately necessitated the dealers' room, game room, video viewing rooms, and registration area to all be rather spread out from each other. There was lots of fun things to buy, and tons of great cosplayers to oogle. However, oddly enough, at least a third of the cosplayers I saw weren't dressed as anything anime. There was a Xena, Warrior Princess, the Mooninites from AquaTeen Hunger Force, a few Star Wars-esque ppl, comic book characters, and other really strange random costumes like this one guy who was dressed up as a ten foot tall can of Monster, the energy drink. (?) The majority of anime cosplayers hailed from Naruto or Bleach, and there was a surprisingly good showing of Avatar cosplayers. I saw a Mai, a few Aangs, a few Katara's, two Sokas, a Toph, two Appas, Momo, and an absolutely gorgeous Azula. <--Azula, hold my hand!!
There wasn't too much in the way of videos playing we were actually interested in seeing, so we mostly shopped, browsed, and posed for/took pictures. Soli bought a whole bunch of 39 doujinshi, haha, and I got a t-shirt, the next Vampire Hunter D novel I've been craving ((tho i cant start reading it until at least August, since it's a two-parter this time and i dont want to torture myslef by reading it now and not getting to know what happens until September when the next one comes out!!!)), a Pokey, the orange ghost from Pacman, plushie, and some other stuff. Soli and I have an official mascot now for the Dirty Old Ladies Club! Heehee we both fell in love with this Monkey King Voodoo Baby keychain and bought him. He is supposedly enchanted to boost his owner's creativity and ingenuity, so we'll see, haha. ♥ He has a little nyoi-bo, diadem and everything! We cosplayed as me = Demon form Goku, Soli = Sanzo, little sis = Hakkai, littler bro = Gojyo, my friend = Dr. Ni, lil' sis' friend = Yaone. We were in costume Sat. & Sun., except for our Ni who only dressed up on Sat. We also went on Mon, all out of costume, which is when i got most of my actual shopping done, lol, cuz there weren't ppl stopping us every 5 minutes for pics. =D Ooh, and we also got to meet kis4me2 , which was pretty cool! We went to the Saiyuki gathering on Sat, too, but I dont think we knew anyone there. We just posed for some photos, Sanzo almost beat a cute Lirin with her fan for trying to glomp her, haha, and then escaped inside out of the heat. Did I mention it was a very hot weekend? Beach weather, not dress-up-in-a-million-layers-cosplaying weather. lol
Hammer time! Picture time! I took tons of pix, but I made most of them pretty small, so hopefully this won't deter my fellow dial-up internet users from checking out the photos. These are all worksafe, if not quite geeky. XD I've tried to organize them a bit. If you only wanna see a few, check out the "Group" pix. They are the funniest, imo.
Here are some shots of random people that are either really funny or really good, or really weird, haha.

Well, more of a scene than a drabble. This was originally written as part of an idea for an AU fic I was toying with, but I lost interest in that pretty quickly. The idea's been done to death, I know (which is probably 80% of the reason I lost interest--the other 20% being sheer laziness :d). I still kind of liked this scene, though. ::re-reads it:: Man, does Sanzo have a mouth on him! lol

I aim to please, right? =) so here is a picture of Nekkid!Goku I doodled, since I do kinda like how his face and nyoi bo turned out. Title: quickie Goku Artist: Xpyne Rating: um, PG13? Non-sexual nudity Warnings: booty shot back view of naked Goku, i think that makes it not worksafe. I AM the monkey king! lmao, well, not quite. But I did finish my goku wig. The bottom half of his layers were really rushed, as I was finishing them the morning of Anime Expo, so I dont think they're as good as I could have made them had i another day or two, but it's the top spikes that garner attention anyway, and it got finished, unlike Hakuryuu :,< , so I cant really complain. I WILL be finishing jeep for Yaoi con, but seeing as how that's the end of October, I can breathe a little easier, lol. I'm very excited about Jeep. He will be sooooooooooooooooo great!!! I'm pumped!!! watch my enthusiam!! ::vibrates::
hahah, well, i still am gonna do a con report on Anime Expo 2007, but for now I'd like to show off my wig a bit. ^__^ So after I cropped off all the hair that was going under the felt cap (at which point i was all wibbling because of how ugle it looked half bald, haha), I glued some strategic points of the felt spike cap to the wig and handed it off to Soli to sew the entire border of the felt to the wig's interior netting. I don't like hand sewing much. Too mundane and repetetive for me. Soli's a real champ, though, so she does stuff like that for me. ♥ Anyway, once the felt was secured, it was all a matter of arranging sections of hair still attached to the wig above the part line I wanted over the spikes, and using sections of the hair i'd cut off to fill out the bulk. About 75% of the hair covering the spikes had to be hand trimmed and hot glued at the base into custom sections. It was tricky arranging it so none of the glue showed, but I am the Hot Glue Gun Master, so it worked out. Geez, I think i've been using hot glue guns since I was eight years old. Weren't the '90s great? Parents were a lot less concerned with kids playing with burn hazards, i guess. XD
Anyway, I never would have made it, had it not been for all the cruel beatings wonderful support of my taskmasters sisters. Here's a complilation of some of the process, and of me wearing the wig with the honey contacts in!
As I was getting the hair and added sections how I liked them, I was trimming the hair as well. Once it was all bobby pinned and clipped and cut over the felt, I removed the clips spike by spike, using Spiker hair gel by Ice, and tied each spike at the tip with small strips of nylon from an old pair of stockings to keep the spikes together without denting or cinching them. Then I had my little sister blow dry it for 15 minutes while I took a well deserved break to, uh, go work on other cosplay stuff. :/ Finally, I gelled up the roots and some of the strands from the bottom layer, held it upside down, and had my sister's friend (our Yaone) blow dry it for about 10-15 minutes. Voila! :D The wig is Seiten Taisei/ Normal Goku interchangeable, with loose strands that tuck up and three waist long clip-in extensions. Here's a pair of good pictures of it in Seiten Taisei mode, with me in full costume.
Whelp, it was a lot of fun to make. I think it needs to be called a "headpiece", since it's not quite just a wig anymore. I wanna go wear it around at the mall or something for fun now. =D

Sorry this took so long to get up, but I was devoured by cosplay, my birthday, prop making, and Anime Expo! ♥ I'll prolly put up separate posts about each, lol. BUT for right now, since it has been waaaaay too long, considering I drew and finished all these within a day or two of each other, I give you what was actually the first drawn of the four pix, Jungle Queen Fever Sanzo! <--LOL
Title: Artist: Xpyne Rating: PG ((unless you count my thoughts as I was drawing it. >:3 )) Warnings: WIP, worksafe, big file Character: Genjyo Sanzo Medium: Original was 8H pencil on paper, then applied sumi-e style (just water and ink). Chinese Yellow Smoke Mountain Ink stick ground in a slate well, painted with a small, hard bristled bamboo brush: the Happy Dot brush. Then lined over in black rollerball pilot pen, and pelikan white highlights added last. yAy! (they're all cleaned up in photoshop, too. the title font is Cocaine Sans.) Time Taken: apprx. 2+ hours Notes: Sanzo is my favorite character to draw ((even though Goku and Gojyo are my fav characters personality-wise! ♥)) and I'm constanly asking myself, "How can I make him sexier?" as opposed to Goku, about whom I think, "How can I make him more debauched and lovin' it?!" I swear, I practice art just to try and draw Sanzo... I like this picture, even if it doesn't totally look like Minekura's Sanzo. ,':/ P.S., his arm is cropped b/c i planned on cropping it from the beginning, soes I didnt actually draw it, hah. Aaaaand, there will be one more final pic, the picture I actually envisioned from the start, of all four of them cropped and arranged together an' stuff. Please look forward to it! ♥

So, I accidently set fire to part of my Goku costume today. . .
...... and no, it wasn't nearly as catastrophic as that sounds! hahaha You see, I have this brilliant idea of how to make a spike wig. first, I used floral pins to attach the wig to a styrafoam mannequin head. then, I separated the hair into sections, include a "top to be spiked" section. next, i sketched the relative shape and size spike i wanted in the air, repeatedly, over top of the head where I wanted it. My little sister was like, "What the hell are you doing?" I said, "Committing the shape and size of the spike I want to create into the muscle memory of my hand so I can draw it on the felt." she was like, " Oh-kaaay...." lol anyway, then i created spikes out of taped together cones of black felt that i pinned onto the styrofoam head and wig as well. When i was done, it looked like this:
I replaced the tape with hot glue gun once I had everything in place. The plan is to cut the hair off the part of the wig this covers, and use the chopped length to cover the spikes with hair, creating the illusion of hair spikes. But felt alone is not stiff enough to keep its shape well, so my crazy plan was to starch the material. I bought spray starch and used it to saturate the spiky felt cap. buuuuuut, before i could starch it, I had to take it off the wig so i wouldn't get starch on the hair. Also, starch requires ironing or steaming to "set" it. As ironing it would defeat the purpose, and i dont have access to a clothes steamer, i decided I would microwave it. i did a small piece as a trial/test, and it worked beautifully. buuuuuuuuuuut, before I could spray 'n nuke the felt cap, I needed something i could attach it to that would allow it to keep its rounded shape. so i made a crumpled newspaper lump and pinned the felt cap to it with floral pins. Now, I know putting metal pins in the microwave is not a good idea, but my little sister said she saw a Myth Busters where they determined it took an extremely extended time period for regular metal to do any damage to a microwave ((tin foil is another story. don't microwave tin foil, kids!!!!) and i was out of clever ideas to fasten the cap to the newspaper ball properly, so i did it anyway. after about 2 minutes, a pin heated up enough to ignite the flammable starch on the newspaper kindling and--flame on! OGOD. hahaha, i put it out right away, the felt wasn't damaged, the microwave wasn't damaged, and you dont ever need to tell Mom about this incident, Solitaire, EVER. The wig shall proceed as planned. Here is a pic of the burned spot. )>.> ::shifty eyes::
And speakingof eyes, I'm doing my Seiten Taisei Goku cosplay again this year, but I also am adding a regular!Goku costume to the repitoire. The only real difference is Minus: ears, fangs, yellow slit-eye contacts, hair extensions, (i dont do claws because i am eveybody in our cosplay party's hair and make-up artist. i need finger mobility and dexterity throughout the con, lol) and Plus: diadem. ((did i mention i'm designing the wig to be Seiten Taisei long/ Goku short interchangeable??)) buuut, since i was at the optomitrist ordering cat-eye contacts anyway, i picked up some free trial pairs of color contacts for regular Goku. I naturally have very dark brown eyes, so I got a pair of Hazel contacts and a pair of Honey contacts. They're very similar in color, so I whipped up this comparison display, using the promo pix of the FreshLook Contacts (TM) website and a crappy cell-phone pic of me wearing one Hazel and one Honey for comparison, so I could hold a vote. and during the course of all that work, however, I decided the Hazel ones are (unlike the promo pic) too greenish in actuality, and I'm going with the Honey ones, haha. you can take a look anyway, since i spent quite a while making this, and affirm my preference for Honey! I dont reeeally think contacts are strictly necessary and i dont like wearing contacts (i dont need them, i have good vision), but, like i said, i have very dark brown eyes, so i think i will wear contacts.
Well, this is getting pretty long, but I also want to share my progress on Hakuryuu. He has legs now, and his wire skeleton is almost done! I will dedicate another post to him once I'm a little further along, but here's a cute pic of him standing on his lovely new legs!! making this dragon is eating my brain, i have no other way to describe it. <:O Oddly enough, however, it is our Hakkai cosplayer (my little sis) who has been bossily informing me I can't work on Hakuryuu until I get further along on the Goku wig, shakujou's refurbishment, nyoi bo's refurbishment, the entire Yaone costume that may or may not get done??, and various other costume touch-ups. ....like, she says Jeep is cool and everything, but not a priority or a necessity. ::gasp:: T_T how are we related?!?! she makes a good point, but......::wibbles::

The next Urban Jungle pic is here! Sorry I took so long to put the next one up! But things have been really hectic with me. My weekend: Friday, I went down to San Diego for Solitaire's graduation ceremony on Saturday. She received her Bachelor's Degree from University of California, San Diego in Anthropology with an emphasis on Biological Anthropology. YAY!!! I'm so proud of her! ♥ And then my best friend called me that same Saturday to inform me she was abducting me invite me to go down to Mexico with her. We stayed at a beachside resort in Rosarito. We partied and rode ATVs and went shopping and stuff. It was a lot of fun!! And then on Monday I drove my little bro and his friends around to buy army fatigue t-shirts and bb ammo because on Tuesday we're having an airsoft battle. Oo;;;;; lol and tonight (monday) i also went and attended an Islamic mosque in Chino as part of an inter-religious learning and tolerance campaign my ((mostly Roman Catholic)) meditation group was participating in. The Muslims were very hospitible, generous, and kind to us. They served us a middle eastern dinner and then we attended a service, followed by a Q&A session. They emphasized many times how honored they were to have us attend their service and it was pretty cool. and i got to wear a beautiful head shawl loaned to me by one of my meditation group buddies. ((is it not very PC to say i felt like Princess Jasmine in it?? lol)) anyway, w00t! go religious tolerance and education! because world peace will not occur unless there is peace between world religions. uh, but on with the pr0n!

Alright! for gen50 , I'm posting Goku's Urban Jungle single up next! I hope you're feeling better! I showed a friend of mine, who is not familiar with Saiyuki, these pictures and the first thing he said was, "Dude, that guy looks like a monkey." LMAO ah, poor Goku, what is it about you that says, "chibi chimp" to the world? ((the second thing he said was of Sanzo: "And that dude looks like chick. That's how you like 'em, isnt is?!?" ...yes. yes, it is. >:D )) Well, without further ado, here's Seiten Taisa Son Goku, monkey king of the jungle. =D

(like gojyo's antenna in the last one) i will fix that before posting the final spread of all 4 boys, but since these are kinda just uncropped preview shots, i'm not gonna worry too much about it. I'm also not going to mention what it warped beside the roach antenna, cuz if you can't tell, no need for me to point out my inadequacies, lol.

Okay, I applied my sekrit new technique to my sketches, and got interesting results!. ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Weeell, it's not exactly what I was envisioning, but i think i like it anyway. I think if I do a larger picture, it will be more like what i want to go for. getting all the details of a face into a square inch is a little difficult. I'm going to combine all four of the pictures into a fifth layout, but until I'm done with all the computer editing, I will be posting the singles up. :) First up is Gojyo! ♥ He has kind of a fierce look in this picture, I think. My last picture posted was somewhat ignored except by 2 of the lovelies on my flist--::runs and hides in the corner, crying:: but i will not be deterred!! ::good guy pose:: I'm pretty excited by how these Urban Jungle pix came out! Please enjoy them!
